Join Us to Celebrate 20 Years of Zero Barriers Bike Racing

An extraordinary evening in support of New York City's children. *** Tickets are still available! You may also participate in our evening via our auction, or support the program with a donation.****

For two decades, NYC kids have been able to discover the joy of bicycle racing regardless of experience or family income — because of you. In 2004, Deirdre Murphy Bader and Delroy Walters founded our zero-barriers program with a handful of riders. Today, nearly 200 children have fun, get fit, and develop their track cycling skills each semester at Kissena Velodrome.

This November 13, we are coming together to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the most unique cycling program in the country, to share in the successes you have made possible, and to ensure that we are able to introduce new riders to this beautiful sport as our third decade begins.

The event includes cocktails, dinner, and much, much more at Current’s beautiful space at Chelsea Piers. On this night, we will honor Eric Min, co-founder and co-ceo of Zwift, a relentless supporter who has helped bring so many kids into our sport. Our evening will be hosted by the former pro cyclist and fabulous commentator Matt Stephens. We are thrilled to be joined by Olympic champion Jennifer Valente; Riley Sheehan, the first American racer ever to win the Paris - Tours Classic; Nicola Cranmer and Laurel Quinones of Team Twenty24; and esports champ Kristen Kulchinskyamong a galaxy of past, present and future cycling stars. (Sadly, Magnus Sheffield is no longer able to attend.)

Even if you can't join us on November 13, we encourage you to support our program by making a gift today — Your kindness and generosity are what keeps New York City's best free youth sports program alive. We have come so far in 20 years. We can’t wait to see where you will take us in our third decade!
